In this guided practice, Cara recognizes that the normal out of their mind, out of their breath, and out of their depth parent might not have time for what we think of as a formal sitting meditation practice. So what if, Cara asks, we could scrape the very gunk of life off the surface of the present moment and dump it straight into our practice? No matter what we’re doing, no matter how little time we have, no matter what’s on our mind—what if we could use the fact of that as the very stuff that we lay our mindful attention, care, and love upon? Anything and everything—all the imperfections, all the chaos, all the unresolved chunks that break off of life are invited in, to the space of this meditation practice.
